Commissioners approve Alto Lago lot consolidation and Line W Unit 1 final plat

The Comal County Commissioners Court approved two development-related items: (1) an amendment to the plat of Alto Lago Unit 1 to combine Lots 77 and 78R into Lot 77R, and (2) final plat approval of Line W Unit 1, including acceptance of a right-of-way dedication along FM 1102, and acceptance of construction bond number 59BSBJK6758 as surety for road and stormwater improvements.
County planning staff described the Line W Unit 1 tract, its prior development history and typical urban curb-and-gutter street design; staff recommended approval for both the lot combination and the Line W final plat. Commissioner Leacock moved to approve the Alto Lago amendment and later moved approval of Line W Unit 1; both motions were seconded by Commissioner Webb and carried by hand/voice votes.
Staff noted some rights-of-way will be reduced to 50 feet where appropriate for 30-foot streets and that the development had been in process since 2023 with changes of ownership; the court approved the recommended variances and dedication.
