Seguin ISD Board Canvasses, Certifies Trustee Election Results for Districts 1, 3 and 6

The Board canvassed and certified results of the Nov. 5, 2024 trustee elections for Single Member Districts 1, 3 and 6 after receiving official certification from Guadalupe Elections Administrator Lisa Hayes.
Trustee Joshua Bright moved and Trustee Linda Duncan seconded a motion to canvass and certify the results of the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election for Trustees in Single Member Districts 1, 3 and 6.
The Board cited the requirement under Texas Election Code §67.003 that the Board must canvass and certify official election results no later than the eleventh day after the Nov. 5 election. Guadalupe County Elections Administrator Lisa Hayes submitted the election results along with her certification, which the Board accepted as the official returns.
The minutes record the motion passing with ayes from Trustees Bright, Crettenden, Duncan, Guerra and Mueller and no nays. The certification completes the statutory canvass and allows the Board to process statements and oaths for the successful candidates.
