The Savoy ISD Board of Trustees opened its Oct. 14 regular meeting by recognizing staff and a senior student for October honors.
President Jeff Francis called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m., and Bear Reed gave the invocation. The board announced Tracy Sritairat as High School Teacher of the Month, Derise Reese as High School Staff of the Month, Cassidy Almy as Senior of the Month, Joanie Rowland as Elementary Staff of the Month and Molly Weger as Elementary Teacher of the Month.
The recognitions were ceremonial; no district policy changes or financial actions were tied to the awards. The board proceeded to its consent agenda following the presentations.
