The Commissioners Court authorized the county's Public Health Director to submit a renewal application for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) cooperative agreement to the Texas Department of State Health Services. "But this is our annual PHEP...grant for public health emergency preparedness. It is all salary infringed with our 10% match," Public Health staff said on the record when describing the application.
The court moved and seconded the measure and approved the submission. Staff said the renewal requires minimal changes to the face sheet and primarily funds staffing for the county's preparedness activities.
