City appoints Shyla Patera to Great Falls Transit District Board

Mayor Reeves explained the County had previously appointed Carl Donovan and the City had confirmed that appointment at an earlier meeting; this vacancy arose after Ann Marie Meade left the board. The commission approved forwarding the City's appointee to the County for confirmation at its July 28 meeting. There was no public comment on the appointment.
The appointment follows the formal application period that closed June 26 and included two applicants from the City: Shyla Patera and Len Nopen. The City packet notes City staff advertised the opening on June 4 and forwarded the recommended appointment to the County for confirmation.
