Board Member Ethan Garza made the motion; Board Secretary Robin Brown seconded. The motion passed 6-0 with Board Member Crystal Saldaf1a recorded as voting against the motion. The minutes do not include a recorded statement of the reason for the dissent.
The board also approved other related facility and equipment expenditures on the consent agenda earlier in the meeting, including bond-fund furniture and field upgrades for Pirate Stadium.
