Comal County accepts donations totaling $51,042 for Hidden Valley and Jumbo Evans parks

County staff described a $20,317 donation from Canyon Lake Little League to purchase and install four scoreboards for the Hidden Valley "quad," a $10,000 contribution from the Spring Branch Tennis Association toward a tennis court at Jumbo Evans (already included in the 2026 budget and part of a USDA grant application), and a $21,725 donation from the Community Resource and Recreation Center of Canyon Lake to replace or upgrade four large gymnasium air handlers at Hidden Valley.
County staff said the board will deposit the checks into specified line items and oversee procurement and installation. Each donation was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote during the action agenda.
