The Southwest Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Nov. 19 to approve the meeting’s consent agenda, which bundled minutes approvals, several overnight student trips, contracts and course additions.
Items approved included Southwest Legacy High School tennis and softball tournament travel, Southwest High School boys soccer participation in the 2025 Georgetown Governor’s Cup Showcase, CAST STEM High School overnight trips to Mexico City and Leakey, NJROTC trips to Corpus Christi and College Station, and 5th‑grade outdoor education at YMCA Camp Twin Lakes for Big Country Elementary and Hidden Cove STEAM Academy. The agenda also approved a contract for MSB Consulting Group, the 2024–25 secondary new courses, the certified tax roll, a change order for ANEW under RFP 2122‑125 (Mental Health Services, Resources, and Training), and acceptance of City of San Antonio Department of Human Services Afterschool Challenge Program funding.
"Mr. Carrillo moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Mrs. Bernal seconded the motion. All members voted in favor; the motion carried." The board roll call listed Florinda Bernal, Daniel Carrillo, Jose Diaz, James Gonzalez, Ida Sudolcan, James Sullivan Jr., and Sylvester Vasquez Jr. as present; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
