"I received a call from Governor Hochul’s office informing me that the Village of Maybrook was awarded $25.48 million," Leahy said, framing the award as a historic investment in the village’s redevelopment prospects.
Leahy thanked state and county partners and consultants involved in the application process and said the grant will support site improvements to attract employers and manufacturing investment. The board did not take formal action on the grant at this meeting; Mayor Leahy and staff noted ongoing coordination with Empire State Development, Millennium Strategies, and the Orange County Partnership on next steps toward redevelopment planning and implementation.
