Maybrook sets July 11–12 schedule for 100th anniversary celebration

The Village of Maybrook will celebrate its 100th Anniversary on July 11–12, Mayor Dennis Leahy said during the June 23 board meeting.
Leahy read a proclamation from Senator Patrick Ryan honoring the centennial and provided event details: "The parade will begin at the south end of Homestead Ave, head north and into the Frederick Myers Veterans Memorial Park. There will be live music and food till 10 pm. On Saturday, July 12th, festivities will begin at 3 pm. There will be kid activities, Maybrook Police 'Bike Rodeo', a Cornhole Tournament, Vendors, Food, Live music and FIREWORKS to end the evening!" The mayor thanked the Maybrook 100th Anniversary Committee and Trustee Daryl Capozzoli for planning efforts.
Organizers also announced related community events, including troop recognition and the village-wide yard sale; more information will be released in the coming weeks.
