Maybrook board to hire telecom consultant to review Verizon small-cell application; mayor recused

Cassidy recommended retaining a telecommunications consultant, and the board approved retaining consultant Clint Smith at a rate of $250 per hour; Trustees Giannico and Capozzoli and Deputy Mayor Charles Woznick voted in favor while Mayor Dennis Leahy recused himself from the matter.
Cassidy stated the applicant (Verizon) will pay the consultant’s fees. The board authorized retention up to the stated hourly rate; no contract or retainer terms beyond the hourly cap were included in the motion recorded in the minutes.
