Trustees on the Village of Maybrook Board on June 23 authorized a $64,000 bond anticipation note (BAN) to fund police equipment and a vehicle.
Deputy Chief Barnett presented the financing plan, saying, "The BAN will be for $64,000 which relates to $21,333.33 a year plus interest for 3 years, starting in 2026." Trustee William Treco moved to approve the BAN and Deputy Mayor Charles Woznick seconded; the motion passed on a roll call with four ayes and Trustee Daryl Capozzoli absent.
The board's approval provides the police department with the equipment it requested; Deputy Chief Barnett told trustees the department needed the equipment to support operations and the centennial event. The vote was recorded as Giannico — aye, Woznick — aye, Treco — aye, Leahy — aye. No additional funding sources or repayment details beyond the three-year term and the annual approximate amounts were specified at the meeting.
The board took the vote during its regular meeting at the Maybrook Government Center; no amendment or contingency conditions were attached to the BAN authorization.
