Sinton ISD board swears in two trustees and re-elects leadership in unanimous votes

Board President Jimmie Alaniz called the Sinton Independent School District Board of Trustees to order at 6:30 p.m. on May 19, 2025, and Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent Julie Guerra administered the oath of office to newly elected trustees Richard Gingrich and Thomas Bowers.
The board immediately reorganized its leadership. "A motion was made by Board Member Crystal Saldaña to nominate Jimmie Alaniz for Board President," the minutes record; the motion, seconded by Sam P. Lankford, passed unanimously 7-0. Sam P. Lankford nominated Danny Lorberau for vice president (seconded by Crystal Saldaña), and Danny Lorberau nominated Crystal Saldaña for secretary (seconded by Israel Ethan Garza); both motions passed 7-0.
The reorganization sets the board's leadership for the coming year as the district proceeds with construction projects and budgeting discussions already on the agenda. The newly sworn trustees will participate in those items and future meetings; the board's next regular meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2025.
