Maybrook officials praise DPW and police after storm; departments report routine operations

During trustee and department reports at the Feb. 2 meeting, officials highlighted operational milestones and storm response. Trustee Daryl Capozzoli and Trustee William Giannico praised the Department of Public Works and Police Department for their efforts during the Jan. 25–26 snowstorm. Trustee Capozzoli added that the sewer plant conveyor has been repaired.
Chief Dennis Barnett reported that the police department is transitioning to a new records system and that all new ballistic vests have arrived. DPW Working Leader Kyle DiChiaro said crews are finishing work on two streets in the Heights, housekeeping is progressing at the garage, and the crew is getting back to installing water meters. Engineer Sean Hoffman said he is trying to schedule a meeting with the Town to discuss sewer flows. Attorney Liz Cassidy updated the board on planning work related to the Galaxy project and code enforcement coordination with the building inspector.
These operational updates were recorded without motions; trustees thanked staff and community volunteers during the reports.
