Maybrook board schedules Nov. 24 public hearing on downtown design district changes, declares SEQR lead agency

Attorney Cassidy presented the draft changes and definitions intended to "clean up the TDD," after which Trustee Giannico moved to set the Nov. 24 public hearing; Trustee Capozzoli seconded and the motion passed 5-0. Trustee Giannico then moved a resolution declaring the Village lead agency for SEQR and that the action is unlisted; Deputy Mayor Woznick seconded and the resolution passed 5-0. The Board also approved referrals to the Village of Maybrook Planning Board (Village Code 210-67), the Orange County Department of Planning under GML 239-M, and the towns of Montgomery and Hamptonburgh under Village Law 7-706, on a 5-0 vote.
The measures begin the formal review and public input phase for zoning and code updates affecting the downtown design district; the public hearing will allow residents and stakeholders to comment before the Board advances any local enactment.
