Maybrook board authorizes Halloween curfew for under-18s during local emergency

The Village of Maybrook Board of Trustees voted 5–0 on Oct. 15 to authorize a Local Emergency Order imposing a curfew for all persons under the age of 18 from 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, through 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025. Mayor Leah Leahy advised the board of the curfew during the meeting and the motion to authorize the order was made by Deputy Mayor Woznick and seconded by Trustee Treco.
Mayor Leahy also outlined community Halloween activities: traditional trick-or-treat hours in the Village will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, and the Village will host a Trunk or Treat and Family Movie Night at the Maybrook Senior Center on Saturday, Oct. 25 (Trunk or Treat 4–5:30 p.m.; movie event follows). The mayor asked residents who wish to participate in trick-or-treating to leave porch lights on and advised nonparticipants to leave porch lights off.
