Mayor Leahy used the Mayor's Report to update residents on community events and services. He said the village hosted a Family Movie Night on Sept. 5 (feature: 'Smurfs') and a Fall Community Shred Day the same day from 8 a.m. to noon, and that an additional shred event is planned for Spring 2026. He also announced Montgomery Little League is accepting Fall Ball registration for ages 4–16 with play beginning Sept. 16 and provided contact information for the league president.
The mayor noted the Orange County Board of Elections posted early voting dates and locations for the 2025 General Election; the first early voting day is Saturday, Oct. 26 (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) at the Village of Montgomery Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street. He also shared VFW Post 2064 events including a Sept. 19 golf outing and a Sept. 21 'Pocketbook BINGO' to raise funds to assist veterans and active‑duty personnel.
