Trustees said the moratorium had not been reviewed earlier in the year because workload and other village priorities limited time for consideration. The introduction passed unanimously; the item moves next to public comment and statutory review procedures.
The Board did not adopt substantive changes at the meeting; it introduced the law to allow the village time to study possible revisions and solicit public input at the scheduled hearing.
