The Village Board voted July 28 to enter into an agreement with Recalibrate HCM to upgrade payroll services, contingent on attorney review. Village Clerk David Griffith told trustees the system would allow DPW and police personnel to use face scanners or a phone app to clock in, and managers would have administrative approval rights.
Clerk David Griffith said the vendor projected "five to six thousand a year savings," and described upfront costs of $450 for W-2 processing and a $299 setup fee, while noting Paychex had cost "over $3,000." The board approved entering the agreement subject to legal review; the motion passed 4-0.
The proposal also would digitize new-employee onboarding paperwork and use GPS-located punch-ins. The Board's approval authorizes staff to finalize terms with the vendor after counsel completes its review.
