Trustees adopt return-to-work policy to meet IMLRMA requirements

The village attorney presented a return-to-work policy prepared to satisfy Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA) requirements, and trustees approved it by roll call.
"Per the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association we need to adopt a return-to-work policy. Attorney Nicholas has written and submitted one for us," the minutes record. Trustee N. Hyde moved to approve the policy; Trustee Walsh seconded and the motion passed with five ayes and one absent.
The policy is now part of the village's personnel procedures; trustees did not discuss substantive amendments at the meeting and directed staff to implement the policy as written by the attorney.
