Farnsworth representative Andy Hanfland updated the board on the status of a grant application for water-tower painting and related controls. He said the grant has been submitted for consideration in July and outlined the procurement and construction schedule that would follow funding approval.
"Once we get funding it will then go to bid for 45 days and then it would be a month and a half before starting. The tower will be done in 2027," Hanfland told trustees. The schedule places the primary construction year at 2027 pending award and contracting.
Trustees did not take a final contracting action at the March meeting; the item remains in project planning pending grant award and a bidding period.
