Central CUSD 4 board accepts resignations, hires groundsperson and grants tenure to multiple teachers
Summary
At its March 16 meeting the Central CUSD 4 board accepted multiple resignations, hired Mr. Jeff Cross as district groundskeeper effective March 16, 2026, and approved tenure and probationary reappointments for numerous teachers and administrators.
The Central Community Unit School District No. 4 Board of Education on March 16 accepted resignations effective at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year, including Ms. Anna Parmenter (Music teacher, Chebanse Elementary School) and Mr. Steve Nelson (Assistant Student Council Sponsor, Central High School). The motion to accept resignations was made by Member B. Koch and seconded by Member Shule-Whybrew and passed without dissent.
The board approved the hiring of Mr. Jeff Cross as District Groundskeeper, effective March 16, 2026; motion made by Member Shule and seconded by Member Shule-Whybrew. The board also approved rehire of administrative positions for 2026–27 (listed in the minutes) including Amy Ramsey (Director of Special Services), Linda Jasmin (Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment), Meghan McFall (Principal, Chebanse Elementary School and Ashkum Early Literacy Center), Joshua Houberg (Principal, J.L. Nash Middle School), Marc Shaner (Principal, Central High School), and Jeff Perzee (Assistant Principal, Central High School and J.L. Nash Middle School).
In addition, the board approved probationary staff reappointments and granted tenure to a list of teachers across Chebanse Elementary, Nash Middle School, and Central High School. Motions on hires, reappointments and tenure were made and seconded as recorded and passed with recorded ayes and no dissent.
