Florence approves $79,730 final payment to contractor, authorizes ARPA closeout

City Engineer Tim Parker asked the Mayor and Board to authorize final payment to Hemphill Construction Company, Inc. and to accept the contractor's warranty and release of liens. The board approved Pay Request No. 9 in the amount of $79,730.00; the motion was made by Alderman Brent Sistrunk and seconded by Alderman Kyle Martin and carried unanimously.
Engineer Parker also asked the board to authorize and direct Mayor Trey Gunn to sign any and all close-out documents related to the ARPA MCWI program. Alderman John Banks moved and Alderman Kyle Martin seconded that authorization; the motion carried unanimously. The board additionally approved submission of the Tanks Rehab Project to Congressman Guest as an FY27 appropriations request with support letters from the mayor and city engineer.
