Community Development Director Joel Sims asked the board to set a public hearing to consider a zoning variance from section 404(A) of the Storm Water/Rain Water Regulations (Chapter 23 Appendix A, Ordinance No. 272) for development in a C‑3 zoning district. Alderman Mason Herrin moved to set the hearing for March 17, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.; Alderman Brent Sistrunk seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board authorized and directed the City Engineer to review the variance request and provide written facts and circumstances for consideration at the hearing. The public hearing was formally scheduled and recorded in the Feb. 17, 2026 meeting minutes.
