Cerro Gordo board approves multiple hires, coach resignations and mentor appointments

The Cerro Gordo Community Unit School District #100 Board of Education approved a slate of personnel actions during its May 20, 2026, regular meeting.
Runyen moved to hire Andrew Wilinski as a high-school social studies teacher; the motion passed on a unanimous roll call. The board also approved hires for summer custodial positions (Michelle Jackson, Mya Durbin, Clark Foss, Alissa Johnson, and Maddy Willard) and Denise Williams as elementary secretary. The minutes list additional coaching hires and assignments, including Ethan Parker as JH head baseball coach and Julia Parish as JH cheerleading coach. Miller moved to accept Megan Howell’s resignation as JH head cross country coach; that motion also carried.
The board approved contracts for administrators and set wages for non-certified staff after motions from Howell and Bebar. Members approved honorariums for several coaches for the upcoming seasons. The board voted unanimously on these personnel items in roll calls recorded in the minutes.
