Administrators report building permit, FOIA and instructional updates to Central SD 51 board

Mr. Heidbretcler told the board there was one building permit issued in District 51 according to the Washington Building Summary Report for September 2024 and that one FOIA request had been submitted since the last meeting. Mr. Halpin updated the board on curriculum and instruction including an Art Club collaboration with 8th-grade science, instructional-technology coaching, Washington Township grants and professional development. Mr. King provided an update on Special Education enrollment, recognition of principals, professional development and the results of the 2023-24 Special Education LEA Determination.
