Central students honored: state wrestling champion, state qualifiers, Student Council and physics class presentations

The board recognized Nash and CHS students for wrestling achievements, honored teachers, and received presentations from CHS Student Council and the CHS physics class at the April 27 meeting.
The board recognized Nash Middle School teachers Heather Bernard, Jessica Meyer and Kari Bailey for their classroom work and Miss Brooklyn Mathy as Nash October student and Juvenile Justice Spotlight student. The board also honored three boys (Evan Cox, Josh McCurry, Giona Panozzo) for qualifying for the Boys Wrestling State meet and celebrated Payton Temple for winning the girls state wrestling championship—the first in school history.
Student leaders from Central High School (Izzy Bruno, Lacey Casper, Keira Donnelly and Alexa White) presented year-to-date Student Council finances and activities including concession management, spirit weeks and fundraisers; the CHS physics class demonstrated a Disney-themed Rube Goldberg project as part of a class showcase.
