Cerro Gordo board hires JH girls track coach, accepts resignation and OKs volunteer honorariums

At its Feb. 18 meeting the Cerro Gordo CUSD #100 Board of Education approved multiple personnel actions. Member Curran moved to hire Annie Kirby as junior high girls track coach; Member Runyen seconded and the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The board also accepted the resignation of Andrew Buhr as junior high girls track coach after a motion by Member Howell and second by Member Bebar; that motion likewise passed on a unanimous roll-call vote. Earlier in the meeting, the board approved honorariums for volunteer extracurricular staff following a motion from Member Runyen that Curran seconded.
These votes followed an executive session called under 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), (c)(9) and (c)(10) for personnel and student matters. The board recorded unanimous verbal or roll-call support for each personnel motion; no dissenting votes were recorded in the minutes.
