The Town Board on Sept. 24 introduced a proposed amendment to the Long Lake Local Government Code Enforcement Program and authorized public notice for a hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The proposed local law updates the town's adoption and enforcement of the Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code.
The resolution (Resolution 42 of 2025) directs the Town Clerk to publish the hearing notice in the official newspaper and to post the full text of the proposed law on the town website and at the Clerk's office during regular business hours; the Board also allowed members of the public to submit written comments until noon on the day of the hearing. The motion to accept Resolution 42 passed unanimously (Arsenault, Bird, Donnelly, Hosley — Aye).
