The Seguin ISD Board of Trustees unanimously granted the relief sought in grievance #2 by employee J. Rice, restoring his first-period planning period with a contingency: if the Construction Principles class exceeds 40 students, he will return to co-teaching. That motion passed after the board reconvened from executive session late on Dec. 11.
On a separate grievance (#3), trustees voted 5–2 to amend the remedy to require specific training for school administration to prioritize responding to calls for an administrator as an urgent task (Ayes: Crettenden, Duncan, Dwyer, Guerra, Mueller; Nays: Bright, Burns). A subsequent motion to add a reprimand for Ms. Perez failed, with only Bright and Burns voting in favor (2–5).
