Greene County recognizes six employees in second-quarter 'Great Job' awards

Erin Thornhill, HR Director, presented six employees whose names were randomly drawn from 25 "Great Job" cards submitted April–June 2026; each recipient received a $100 Visa gift card as part of the Customer Service Award Program.
Named honorees included Sara Cooley, Children Services Supervisor (J&FS), who was recognized for leadership implementing Ohio START program changes; Dean Curtis, Trades Specialist (County Services), for assisting with Sheriff cruiser preparation; Amy Dyke, Social Services Program Specialist (J&FS), for SNAP Employment and Training case management; Wade Beam, Operations Supervisor (Parks & Trails), for building and delivering project materials; Teah Phillips, Administrative Support Associate (Animal Control), for helping reunite a customer with a lost dog named Charlie; and Joscelyn White, Administrative Support Associate (J&FS), for arranging gift cards that aided placement of a newly emancipated youth.
The program awards a modest cash-equivalent recognition to staff who provide notable customer service to internal or external customers, and the board recorded the recognitions in the meeting minutes.
