The committee approved the purchase of a new playground structure and equipment for Jeff Moore Park with UltiPlay Parks & Recreation not to exceed $153,483.
Brian Conant, superintendent of parks, said the project will enhance the park and includes a splash pad. Conant confirmed that $150,000 of the total comes from previously appropriated capital and that a $100,000 donation from the Morin family will substantially offset the city's costs. "That was a donation from the Morin family of $100,000," Conant said in committee discussion.
