Committee approves parks equipment purchases including $173,092 mower and $59,827 groomer

The finance committee approved two parks equipment purchases: a Toro GM5910 Groundmaster mower from Turf Products (not to exceed $173,091.95) and a 2026 ABI Force Z infield groomer from Alta Equipment Company (not to exceed $59,826.61).
Brian Conant, superintendent of the parks department, said the mower is a scheduled SURF replacement and the department will trade in a 2017 backup unit. On the groomer, Conant said the ABI was selected because it is roughly $10,000 less than the alternative and offers more attachments, noting the equipment will improve on-field grading and reduce puddling.
