Scott Krueger, Oconto County Facilities Manager, told the Property & Technology Committee a water leak in Building C damaged tile outside the Clerk of Courts office and buckled tile in the entryway between the main entrance and the elevators. Krueger said the damaged tile has been replaced and carpeting will be installed in the Clerk of Courts offices and in the entrance/elevator corridor to improve safety and eliminate monthly mat costs.
Krueger said the leak originated with a wall heater connected to the boiler system and he intends to replace that wall heater with an electric heater to avoid a similar problem in the future. He said costs for the repairs will be paid out of the maintenance department’s budget and are within the approval level of the County Administrator.
