Property: Auditor/Treasurer Carolyn Rempel reported seven tax forfeiture properties and an online auction scheduled Sept. 29–Oct. 29. The board accepted a bid from Ryan’s Small Engine, LLC in the amount of $81,200 for the old highway shop/office building at 1355 9th Avenue, Windom, and authorized county officials to sign the purchase agreement. Other items: The board voted to pay a per diem to Commissioner Appel for attending a Public Works staff meeting on Aug. 13, and Commissioner Appel provided facility updates and scheduled an open house for the new Public Works building on Sept. 23 (3–6 p.m.). The meeting adjourned at 1:17 p.m.
