New facilities director outlines HVAC, lighting and preventive‑maintenance plan

He reported progress on paving and custodial schedules and said he is working with vendors to regain full administrative access to the LMS lighting control system after the original vendor shut down. "We don't have full access to the computer," Hurley said. "So that might be a future something to budget for as well is to get maybe a new system in there so we can actually can control these lights because we don't have any full... access at this time."
He also described irrigation repairs with a vendor (Ground Gobblers), noted completed leak fixes, and urged a shift toward scheduled preventive maintenance (filters, seasonal HVAC inspections) rather than reactive repairs. The board encouraged Hurley to develop a prioritized capital improvement plan and to coordinate facility needs with the town's CIP so impact‑fee and bond projects can be aligned.
Board members praised progress on custodian hiring and asked Hurley to provide competitive bid estimates for HVAC and lighting contracts in time for budget season.
