Township Assessor John Killeen told the board that new-sales volume has picked up to the yearly average and that prices "continue to hold steady or slowly rise," with some sales above asking price. He said 16 new homes are under construction in the township, including six duplexes, and that the equalization factor (EQ) remained at 8.25% for 2025.
Killeen reported that assessed values were adjusted in some neighborhoods to better reflect market equity (example noted: downtown reduced about 8%, NBH #39 increased about 11%). He told the board that assessment notices were mailed and the last day to file for a hearing is July 21, 2025. "Please let anyone know to check with me or the County to see if they qualify," Killeen said, referring to 2025 Senior Freeze exemption forms.
