Board hears Humanex survey showing strong student belonging, staff seek greater voice

At the Jan. 20 meeting Superintendent Dr. Lisa Leali reviewed results from the district’s Humanex surveys of families, students and staff. The data indicated "a strong sense of inclusion and a growth mindset across the district," with students reporting high levels of belonging, connection and safety.
Leali said staff expressed confidence in leadership decisions but also a desire for a greater voice in business operations such as staffing and budgeting. Families and staff both identified a need for more personalized recognition and outreach, while student feedback on choice and agency was broadly neutral.
Administration flagged neutral satisfaction with lunch options and said the district is exploring education-specific survey tools to replace Humanex. Leali said the administration will prioritize student agency, staff coaching and family engagement, and will run the next round of feedback in February.
