The Chicago Heights City Council approved Resolution #2026-61 on June 3, 2026, awarding the City 2026 CDBG Roadway Improvement Project (area of Parkside and Union Avenues) to Iroquois Paving. Alderman Wanda Rodgers moved the resolution and Alderman Sonia Perez seconded; the vote was 7–0 in favor.
Chief of Staff Karen Zerante told the council the project had to be re-bid because of a technical oversight in the County's process and that "Iroquois had been the low bidder in the first bid process, and remained so in the second bid process." The approved low bid amount recorded in the minutes is $198,006.45.
