The Lake Bluff ESD 65 Board carried several motions during its regular meeting. A motion by Laura Breakstone and seconded by Richard Driver approved Press Packet 120 (including updates to policy 4:30) by a roll call of Yea 6, Nay 0, Absent 1. The board also approved facility use fees (motion by Lauren Hirsh, seconded by Tim Penich), approved the student fee schedule including a Pre-K tuition increase to $5,250 (motion by Tim Penich, seconded by Lauren Hirsh), approved the 2026–27 Board calendar (motion by Lauren Hirsh, seconded by Laura Breakstone), accepted the personnel report (motion by Richard Driver, seconded by Tim Penich) and approved the consent agenda, which included minutes, treasurer's report, bills and related items.
The administration's recommendation to sunset LBMS French courses for fall 2026 (moved by Richard Driver and seconded by Laura Breakstone) was tabled by the board during this meeting. The series of votes were recorded as unanimous among attending trustees (6 yeas) with one absence (Andrew Carlson) on each recorded action.
