Tree Board member Nancy Thill reported that AEP completed scheduled line-trimming work in the village and thanked residents for their cooperation. Thill said she and Treasurer Tracey McCay have been coordinating tree‑budget numbers and will use inmate crews to help remove residual timber in the park garden area.
Thill announced Tree City USA recertification was approved as of Feb. 21, 2025, and sought council permission to use the Tree City USA logo on the village website and letterhead. She also outlined plans to hold an Arbor Day event on Thursday, July 10 at 10 a.m. EST with refreshments, an honor guard, and a tree planting; all residents will be invited.
Council did not record objections to logo use or the Arbor Day plan; timing and location details will be finalized by the Tree Board.
