Chair moved the motion and a colleague seconded; the voice vote was recorded as 7-0-0 in favor. "I think we should vote on this ... that we would, like to appropriate the sum of $2,000,000 to be raised over 6 years," the chair said during the motion.
Members noted that actually funding any purchase would require future ballot or budget actions and that the commission should prioritize properties before seeking dollars. The endorsement registers the commission's intent in the town's CIP submission, not an immediate transfer of funds.
