During its Sept. 17 meeting the Laraway CCSD 70‑C board conducted a budget hearing, voted unanimously to enter and to close that hearing, and later moved into a closed executive session with a unanimous roll call. The minutes record the procedural motions and the 7–0 votes to open and close the budget hearing and to go into and return from closed session.
Public comment recorded in the minutes was limited. Mrs. Fleet said it was a harvest moon and partial eclipse that evening. President Knight stated that the teachers’ collective bargaining agreement (CBA) would be followed "to the specifics within the CBA," a reaffirmation of the board’s intent to honor the contract terms.
