Laraway CCSD 70-C board approves consent agenda and administrative items

The Laraway CCSD 70-C Board of Education approved a package of routine and personnel items during its Oct. 8 meeting.
Mrs. Fleet, a board member, moved to approve the consent agenda, which included Bills Payable; Imprest Payable; New Construction Payable; Payroll; the Treasurer’s Report; the resignation of Spirit Club advisor Ms. Chrissy Conte; an FMLA request for Reading Specialist Mrs. Alexa Minor; and the destruction of an audio-session tape and minutes from the Sept. 17, 2024 regular board meeting. Mrs. Matenaer seconded the motion. On a roll-call vote Brass, Fleet, Hopkins, Knight, M Matenaer and Washington voted aye; there were no nays and the motion passed 6-0.
The board then took two additional administrative votes. Mr. Hopkins moved, seconded by Mrs. Matenaer, to pre-approve the October bills; the board voted 6-0 to approve. Mr. Brass moved, seconded by Mr. Hopkins, "move to approve the Appointment of Special Education Administrator, as presented;" that motion also passed on a 6-0 roll-call vote. Finally, the board approved a Computer Refresh Schedule after Mrs. Matenaer moved and Mr. Brass seconded the motion, which passed 6-0.
All motions were recorded as passed by unanimous roll-call votes. The meeting minutes list the six members voting aye as Brass, Fleet, Hopkins, Knight, M Matenaer and Washington (Washington participated by phone).
