Jacksonville SD 117 committee approves agenda, enters closed session

Mrs. Wilson moved, seconded by Mr. Lonergan, to approve the agenda as presented; the motion passed unanimously (Yea: Wilson, Lonergan, Leonard, Pool, Stewart, Trace, Beard).
Later in the meeting, Mrs. Wilson moved, seconded by Mr. Lonergan, "to adjourn to Closed Session at 6:32," citing personnel matters, collective negotiating matters and salary schedules, student disciplinary cases, probable or imminent litigation, and review of minutes under the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), (2), (9), (11), (21)). The board voted unanimously to enter closed session. The board returned to open session at 6:57 p.m. after a subsequent unanimous motion by Mrs. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Stewart. The Committee of the Whole adjourned at 6:57 p.m. following a motion by Mr. Lonergan, seconded by Mrs. Wilson.
