Cortland OKs $178,708 contract for East North Avenue; staff may add Maple Park work

The Cortland Board of Trustees authorized the mayor to execute a formal contract with Curran Contracting Company in the amount of $178,708.14 for the East North Avenue Road Project (contract C 2026-02). Trustee Corson moved and Trustee Haier seconded the motion; the roll-call vote was unanimous among the four trustees present.
Town Engineer Brandy Williams said the "project came in well under the engineer estimate" and that she would ask Curran to submit a separate quote for additional work on Maple Park Road. Williams told the board that, if Curran agrees, the combined work would remain under the FY27 road projects budget of $400,000 and would return to the board with additional paperwork for approval.
