Board approves bonding limits and re-adopts policies; sets mileage and substitute pay rates

The Minerva Central School Board approved bonding levels for district personnel at the July 10 meeting. The District Treasurer and District Tax Collector bonds were set at $1,000,000 each; the Superintendent and Board President bonds were set at $100,000 each; the Deputy Treasurer and Internal Claims Auditor bonds were set at $5,000 each. The motion was carried 3-0.
The board also re-adopted all policies and the code of ethics in effect during the previous year, established the mileage reimbursement rate at $0.70 per mile, and approved substitute pay rates: certified teachers $125 per day; non-certified teachers $17 per hour; non-certified personnel $17 per hour; bus drivers $21 per hour; and licensed registered professional nurse $120 per day.
