Board approves several appointments and accepts resignations; superintendent contract amended

The board approved multiple personnel resolutions at the Aug. 8 meeting. Actions recorded in the minutes include appointment of Ellen Bosan to a three-year probationary appointment as School Media Specialist effective Sept. 1, 2024; appointment of Edward Corcoran to a four-year probationary PK–12 Art Teacher position effective Sept. 1, 2024; appointment of Kayla Sullivan as a full-time cleaner effective Sept. 1, 2024; and appointment of Kathleen Riley to a term Technology Teacher position for the 2024–25 school year effective Sept. 1, 2024. The board also amended the appointment of Lisa Fabin to change assignment dates within the school year. Motions for these resolutions carried 5-0.
The minutes also record accepted resignations: Kaylee Packard effective July 31, 2024; Harold Caldwell effective Aug. 8, 2024; and Edward Corcoran listed a resignation effective Aug. 31, 2024 (note: Corcoran appears both as appointed and listed in resignation correspondence; the board later approved his appointment to an Art Teacher probationary position effective Sept. 1). The board approved a second amendment to the superintendent employment agreement for Candice L. Husson during the A–O package vote. Each personnel motion is recorded with the mover and second in the minutes and carried unanimously.
