Lanark allocates $80,000 in MFT funds for Claremont and School/Pearl street work

On April 21 the Lanark City Council approved a resolution to allocate approximately $80,000 in Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds for two road projects. The minutes specify about $55,000 for chip-and-seal work on Claremont and roughly $25,000 toward the School and Pearl Street project. Alderperson Ethan Lartz moved and Alderperson Mark Macomber seconded the motion; the vote was 6–0 in favor.
Council also agreed that, after budget approval, construction projects may be bundled for bidding to reduce costs, and noted park-related work will not begin until after scheduled Old Settlers Day events. The council did not finalize contract awards at the meeting.
