Lanark Reports Water-Main Repair, Crew Training and $112,500 in State Capital Funding Noted

Maintenance Manager Jason Alvarado said the crew repaired a water-main break on S. Broad Street during a recent snowstorm; the repair required approximately six hours. Alvarado also reported that maintenance staff will attend training at the J & R Expo and that work on the north lift station is scheduled to begin on Thursday. He noted warranty-related repairs to the white truck and commended crew members Brett, Drew and Bryce for their work on the water-main break. Clerk Marilyn Heller reported that State Representative McCombie secured $112,500 in funding for capital infrastructure improvements.
Chief Troy Randall said he will attend homicide-investigation training in Dixon next week. Council members did not take action on the water-main project item during the meeting.
